About Us
Heidelberg’s thirteen-member Concert Handbell Choir rings six octaves
of handbells as well as five octaves of choir-chimes. Since 1980, we
have entertained many audiences in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding
tri-state area with a varied repertoire of sacred and secular music.
Our reputation earned us the honor of performing with four other
advanced handbell choirs in the Masteringers Concert series, and led
us to Washington, D.C. where we entertained for the White House
Christmas tours. We have performed at Christkindlemarkt, at several
AGO (American Guild of Organists) events, and at the historic
Riverside Church in New York City. In addition to managing a busy
concert schedule, the Concert choir has completed many promotional
recordings for Shawnee Press, and recently released their own CD, “A
Christmas Journey.” The Heidelberg Concert Handbell Choir, under the
direction of Jackie Laudenslager, is part of the music program at
Heidelberg Union Church in Slatington, PA.
